Sword

We know very little about the local soldiers’ armament and their activities. Weaponry and tools were considered precious objects which is why they were placed in graves only on exceptional occasions. For that reason we find them mainly in pantries or as single findings left in their natural setting.

The sword form Grižani which was presumably produced in the Carpathian valley, is an exceptional exemplar of prestige.
