The end of the workshop’s production
Two children’s skeletons were discovered buried in the premises of the ceramics workshop of Crikvenica. Based on the accompanying burial items they date from the 3rd or 4th century, and considering their position, right behind the large kiln, we can conclude that at that time the workshop was no longer operating.
But the discovery of the burial ground on the premises which formerly housed the workshop, indicates that this area was inhabited in the subsequent centuries as well.
