The Roman house
Objects produced in the pottery workshop of Ad Turres found their use in everyday life. In addition to amphorae, the workshop manufactured a wide range of building ceramics and kitchen utensils.
Walls were built out of bricks, while roofs were covered with imbrices (curved roof tiles) and plain flat roof tiles.
Small rectangular ceramic tiles were used in the construction of various Roman floors, which were often arranged in the herringbone pattern.
